Indirect questions use ob (whether/if) when there is no question word: Ich frage, ob du kommst. (I'm asking if you're coming.) Er weiß nicht, ob sie Zeit hat. The verb goes to the end (like in dass-clauses). W-words can also introduce indirect questions: Ich frage, wann du kommst. Sie möchte wissen, warum er nicht da ist.
