Linking words connect ideas and improve flow. deshalb (therefore): Es regnet. Deshalb nehme ich einen Schirm. trotzdem (nevertheless): Es regnet. Trotzdem gehe ich spazieren. außerdem (additionally): Er ist nett. Außerdem spricht er gut Deutsch. zuerst, dann, danach (first, then, after that). einerseits ... andererseits (on one hand ... on the other). Using them correctly helps in Schreiben and Sprechen.
