Tips for the Hören (listening) section:

1. Read the tasks first so you know what to listen for (names, numbers, reasons, etc.).
2. First listening: get the main idea; note key words. Second listening: confirm or fill in details.
3. Distractors: the recording may mention something similar to a wrong option; the correct answer matches what is actually said or implied.
4. Numbers and dates: write them as you hear (e.g. 1985, 23. Mai). Check spelling of names if needed.
5. Stay calm if you miss one answer; move on and use the second play to catch it.
