Futur I (Future I) – Telc B1

Futur I is formed with werden + infinitive (at the end in main clauses). Ich werde morgen anrufen. (I will call tomorrow.)

Use: Predictions, promises, assumptions about the future. Often German uses Präsens with a time adverb instead (Morgen regnet es).

Word order: werden (conjugated) + … + infinitive. In subordinate clauses: subject + … + infinitive + werden. Er sagt, dass er kommen wird.

Assumptions about the present: Er wird schon zu Hause sein. (He’s probably at home.)
