Relativsätze describe a noun and are introduced by relative pronouns: der, die, das (and forms in other cases), welcher, welche, welches, or wo for places/times.

Example: Der Mann, der dort steht, ist mein Lehrer. (The man who is standing there is my teacher.)

Word order: Relative pronoun + subject + … + verb at end.
Das ist das Buch, das ich gelesen habe.

Case: The pronoun agrees in gender/number with the noun it refers to, but its case depends on its role inside the relative clause. Der Mann, den ich gesehen habeden because “ich habe den Mann gesehen” (accusative).
